Get ready for an unforgettable day of hoops, community, and queer vibes as Q-Hall teams up with Queer Hoops AVL to cheer on the UNC Asheville Women’s Basketball team against Brevard College! 🎉

📅 When: Monday, Dec 30 | Tip-Off at 4:30 PM (Meetup at 4:00 PM at the Rocky Bulldog statue)

📍 Where: Kimmel Arena, Asheville, NC

• Friend Zone & Flirt Zone: Choose your vibe at check-in—connect platonically or mingle romantically!

• Halftime Fun: Play musical chairs with fun prompts to spark conversations and make connections.

• Basketball Buddies: New to the game? We’ll pair seasoned basketball fans with newbies to make the experience fun for everyone.

This event is for the sapphic and dyke-adjacent community (e.g., a woman, non-binary, AFAB, intersex, trans, or gender-diverse person who is bi, pan, queer, gay, or lesbian) and allies who love celebrating queer culture and women’s sports.

Drag Kings & Karaoke: WNC Queer Community Resiliency Gathering

Get ready for a night of electrifying fun, resilience, and pure queer joy! Join us at the LaZoom Room for karaoke, drag king performances, and a celebration of our community's spirit. The tap water may be non-potable, but our community spirit is pristine and unstoppable!

LaZoom's got plenty of cold brews and soft drinks to keep the vibes flowing. Proceeds will benefit Q-Hall's ongoing effort to open a brick-and-mortar space as well as Blue Ridge Pride's Hurricane Helene Recovery Fund. Come lend your voice and help turn disaster into determination as we sing and uplift WNC's LGBTQ+ spaces. Let’s rebuild together, one note at a time!

🎤 90s Karaoke Extravaganza: Belt out your favorite 90s hits! From Shania Twain to TLC, our playlist is stacked with iconic tunes celebrating empowerment.
👗 Fashion Throwback: Step into our 90s fashion pop-up hosted by Revolve Mercantile. Try on some grunge glam or big baggy overalls and strut your stuff like it’s 1995! Strike a pose and show us your best 90s look.
⚖️ Title IX Advocacy Corner: Dive into the history and impact of Title IX on women's sports and LGBTQ+ rights. Discover how far we’ve come and why the fight for equality continues, all while soaking up the queer vibes.

Join us for an unforgettable night of music, fun, and community as we celebrate the sapphic side of the rainbow. Our carefully curated karaoke song list features and celebrates LGBTQ+ women, non-binary (NB), gender non-conforming (GNC), and allied artists. Our fabulous judges are ready to crown the next karaoke superstar!

🎤 Karaoke Contest: Contestants will compete by performing songs from a specially curated list celebrating LGBTQ+ women, NB, GNC, and allied artists. $100 Cash Prize to the winner!!!

🎭 Costume Contest: Show off your creativity and compete for amazing prizes from local LGBTQ+ businesses (Well Played, Sunshine Sammies, Sugar & Snow Gelato, and more!)
