FAQ
  • Q-Hall is North Carolina’s first Women’s Sports Bar, meaning a sports bar dedicated first and foremost to screening women's sports events on all the screens at all times.

We are also Asheville’s only self-identified lesbian bar; we are a lesbian-owned, LGBTQ+ woman-centered sports bar and community venue, created for women’s sports fans, the queer community, and allies who know the assignment.

We’re part women’s sports bar, part sapphic social hub, and part queer community living room. Whether you’re here for the big game, local events, or just the unrivaled joy of being in a room full of Big Dyke Energy, Q-Hall welcomes you to snuggle into the embrace of her big soft bosom.

  • We’re working on it! We hope to open officially by Wednesday, September 6th 2026.

  • 81 Coxe Ave, Asheville, NC.

We’re tucked into one of the most walkable, vibrant neighborhoods in town – close to breweries, restaurants, and all the glorious South Slope chaos your little queer heart can handle. Come find us, grab a drink, watch the game, and pretend you “just happened to be walking by.” Sure, Jan.

  • We are not actively hiring at the moment, but we’d love to stay in touch! Please join the roster on our homepage to be the first to know about future job openings, launch details, and community updates.

  • We are still accepting donations and loans of women’s sports memorabilia! You can drop items off in person on Mondays between 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM, send them by mail, or email us at info@q-hall.com to make special arrangements.

Please complete our Memorabilia Informed Consent Form before submitting your items.

  • If women are playing sports, we are watching. Q-Hall is Asheville’s dedicated home for women’s sports, including the WNBA, NWSL, PWHL, USWNT, NCAA women’s basketball, softball, volleyball, soccer, hockey, tennis, and more!

Our screens are dedicated to celebrating women athletes. Whether it's screaming through the WNBA playoffs, surviving the dramatic stoppage time of an NWSL match, or watching the beautiful madness of women's hockey, we don’t “put women’s sports on if there’s nothing else.” We put women’s sports first. Groundbreaking, apparently.

  • You don't need to know a free-throw from a penalty kick to flock with us. We host a ton of incredible non-sports programming out in the courtyard and up on the Dyke Deck. Think karaoke, trivia, and other amazing community events.

We have a pool table, darts, board games, puzzles, arts and crafts. Plus, you can just enjoy hanging out with women and simply cheer whenever the rest of the room cheers. We love a supportive spectator!

  • Q-Hall is a zero-kitchen venue, which means no fryers, no full-service kitchen, and no one in the back having a meltdown over a missing ramekin. Instead, we focus entirely on great drinks, women’s sports, and offering a fantastic snack menu full of low-prep favorites from local vendors.

Translation: Just because we don’t have a kitchen doesn't mean we’ll let you cheer for women on an empty stomach like some kind of amateur.

We encourage you to order takeout or delivery from one of our nearby neighbor restaurants, like Asheville Pizza & Brewing, Bears BBQ, or Little Chango and enjoy it here while you watch.

  • Yes, Q-Hall offers delicious non-alcoholic drink options because community should never require alcohol. Whether you’re sober, sober-curious, the designated driver, or just not in the mood, you are fully welcome here to sip something tasty and enjoy the vibe without anyone making it weird.

  • Accessibility: Our main entrance is wheelchair accessible and both bathrooms are ADA compliant. (Unfortunately, the rooftop Dyke Deck is stairway access only.)

We are committed to creating an inclusive space. For specific accessibility questions about seating, please contact us before your visit so we can support you!

Families: We strive to be a vibrant community hub for everyone, and younger sports fans and extended LGBTQIA+ fam are welcome until 8 PM when accompanied by an adult – stick to the courtyard or the main bar floor. However, the Dyke Deck is strictly 18+ territory. Since we are primarily a bar, age restrictions can shift based on legal mandates or specific event vibes, so definitely peek at the event details before you pack the stroller.

Pets:  Look, we know that "lesbian logistics" almost always involves a four-legged sidekick. Service animals are a given, but we also welcome your well-behaved pups and cats (leashed or in carriers) until 8 PM. However, if it’s a high-stakes, packed-house game day, we might have to limit the guest list to humans only – so definitely check our socials or site before you load up the Subaru.

Emotional support animals are handled case-by-case depending on the event vibe. We love your fur babies, but let’s avoid turning a championship watch party into a chaotic, craft-beer-soaked dog park, shall we?

  • Absolutely, and we adore you for it! Our GoFundMe remains active and is gratefully accepting contributions to bolster our working capital for the 81 Coxe Ave launch.

    • Donate Here: Q-Hall Journey Fund

Your generosity ensures steady cash flow for our staff and covers those pesky unforeseen costs as we head into our inaugural winter season. Every contribution helps us build a stable foundation for our first year and cements your status as a Q-Hall All-Star! It’s the perfect way to back our From Popups to Permanent evolution.

Your support helps create a lasting sanctuary for women’s athletics and local queer culture. Consider it laying a cornerstone for Asheville’s community – one that just happens to have much better lighting and a lot more lesbians passionately debating point spreads.

You can also help by visiting, inviting your crew, snagging some merch, once the doors are open!
